Jaydene Viernes Benefit Concert - Set-Up and Event Brite v2.png

To fellow McKinley Class of 1978 classmates and friends:

We are asking for your help and support for our dear friend Jaydene (Tanaka) Viernes who is fighting to recover from a brain aneurysm that required intensive brain surgery in December 2022.

After over a month in Queen’s ICU, which included a bout of pneumonia and other complications leading to an insertion of a feeding tube, Jay was transferred to the Rehab Hospital in January to begin an extensive regiment of physical, occupational and speech therapy to rebuild her strength, physical mobility, and swallowing abilities.

Her friends and ohana are hosting a benefit concert to raise funds for her mounting medical bills. The Benefit Concert for Jaydene is on Saturday, April 22 at the Next Door Bar in downtown Honolulu from 2:00pm - 6:00pm (doors open at 1:30pm).  The concert features live performances by top local artists – John Cruz, Sistah Robi, Tavana, Brother Noland and emceed by “Da Champ” aka Blaine Kaneshiro.  (All entertainers are performing pro bono).
